MELTDOWN OVER IDIOTIC AND DANGEROUS MISAPPLICATIONS OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

It could make a person sick, actually it should, and probably does, anyone with any sensitivity who is paying attention.

I just listened to a few seconds' worth of a video news report on the legal question of Amazon's "right" to publish an e-book for pedophiles, because I couldn't stand to hear another word.

AGH, YUCK, BLECH, RETCH.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE THAT THEY HAVE SO LOST TRACK OF WHAT THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION WAS ALL ABOUT? IT WAS ABOUT POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS RIGHTS, THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM FROM GOVERNMENT TYRANNY AGAINST POLITICAL OPINIONS IN PARTICULAR, THE RIGHT TO HAVE PUBLIC POLITICAL OPINIONS WITHOUT FEAR OF CENSORSHIP AND PERSECUTION FROM GOVERNMENT, THE RIGHT TO PRACTICE ONE'S RELIGION WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE.

IT WAS NOT INTENDED TO SUPPORT PERSONAL TASTES OR SEXUAL HABITS (OR "RELIGIOUS" PRACTICES THAT VIOLATE OUR CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS EITHER FOR THAT MATTER -- AT LEAST OUR SANE LAWS, THE ONES THAT ARE IN KEEPING WITH OUR WESTERN CHRISIAN HERITAGE). THE IDEA IS AGAINST THE WHOLE SPIRIT OF THE FOUNDING OF AMERICA, THE VERY THOUGHT IS SO NAUSEATINGLY INAPPROPRIATE IT HAS TO BE A SIGN THAT THE END OF THE WORLD IS COMING SOON -- OR I HOPE IT IS. I CAN'T STAND THE THOUGHT THAT THIS SORT OF INSANITY COULD GET WORSE.

"FREEDOM" WAS NEVER EVER MEANT TO GRANT A "RIGHT" TO PUBLIC OBSCENITY OR VULGARITY OR TO FEEDING HUMAN PERVERSIONS, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT CAN ENDANGER OTHERS, IN THIS CASE CHILDREN, AND WE USED TO HAVE LAWS AGAINST THAT SORT OF THING WHICH OUGHT TO HAVE SHOWN ANYONE WITH ANY INTELLIGENCE THAT IT COULDN'T HAVE MEANT THAT. FREEDOM NEVER MEANT FREEDOM TO COMMIT CRIMES OR OFFENSES AGAINST OTHERS OR AGAINST SOCIETY, BUT THEY'VE TWISTED THE WORD TO MEAN THAT -- SINCE ABOUT THE 60S.

THOSE WHO SUPPORT SUCH THINGS ARE SICK SICK SICK. AND THAT'S THE WHOLE LEFT, THE JUDICIARY AND MOST OF THE POWERS THAT BE THESE DAYS, THE WHOLE MARXIST-INFECTED LOT OF THEM.

THIS MAKES ME SO SICK ALL I CAN DO IS RANT.

Please, Lord God, Save Us From Leftist Delusional Do-Goodism that Kills the Best-Possible for an Unrealizable Perfection

I somehow lost the Yahoo link but this is the title: Obama acknowledges his message didn't get through:
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is acknowledging in the wake of this week's election rout that he hasn't been able to successfully promote his economic-rescue message to anxious Americans.
It is hard to believe that Obama and the left really believe this stuff, though I suppose I'd rather believe they mean it and are simply wrong than that they are lying.

Puhleeze, as Dr. Laura is wont to say (Haven't heard her in years, though. Is she still saying that?). It is certainly not that the Tea Partiers and the rest of the country don't understand your message, Mr. Obama, it's that we HATE your message. Your message is ANTI-AMERICAN, your message is MARXIST / COMMUNIST, your message is the destruction of what America was meant to be, AND APPARENTLY YOU DON'T KNOW IT. Your healthcare bill means the destruction of the greatest medical system the world has ever known (and government programs have already done damage to it), and a recipe for national bankruptcy. Again, I'd rather believe you are ignorant of the true nature of America and what's good for the nation, depressing though that is in itself, than that you are consciously out to destroy America as the Communist Party always has been, and so many suspect is true of you as well.
Obama says in an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes" that he "stopped paying attention" to the leadership style he displayed during his run for the presidency.

Obama also said he recognizes now that "leadership is not just legislation," and that "it's a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone. And making an argument that people can understand."

"And I think that - we haven't always been successful at that," he said. "And I take personal responsibility for that. And it's something that I've got to examine closely as I go forward."
Right, "take responsibility" for a problem that isn't the real problem.

We UNDERSTAND the argument, Mr. President, boy do I wish YOU understood the Right's objections to it, and that the Left in general understood. I think we need a massive education program in what America was meant to be and why Leftist policies are destructive of what it was meant to be, which is why the Tea Parties have been able to have as much success as they have had in this election.

Yes, the nation needs better solutions to the health insurance problems. But let's be clear, a LOT of the problem of the uninsured started with the government programs Medicare and Medicaid, which cost more than we can afford and are vulnerable to all kinds of fraud. Without those more citizens would have been able to afford private insurance over all the decades they have been in force.

Sure, it would be nice if the private sector could find ways to extend coverage to those who are still outside the system and still unable to afford coverage, but government interference has made that increasingly hard to accomplish.

The Left seems to think that if they steal enough from the citizenry to cover the poorest of the poor then it's just fine if millions of the middle classes go without adequate coverage. They have no sense of reality so they've been systematically destroying a pretty good system because they are deluded that their idealism can be translated into practical reality. It can't. Private charity is still the best way to take care of the poorest of the poor.

P.S. Here's a great letter from Senator DeMint of South Carolina to the newly elected conservatives, on how to avoid being co-opted and de-fanged by the establishment they are entering.

More Election Ebullience

Thank You Lord for this reprieve. I just hope it isn't too short-lived. I hope we can follow through and get America on the right track again. I hope we can have a revival too, as that is the surest way to get the nation on track.

I'm feeling optimistic enough to post a video about leftist thinking, hoping maybe finally it's on its way to being exposed and destroyed:

Found that at Front Page Mag . They are ecstatic too of course. I think I'll just put up links to some of their articles: Lame Duck Season , A Turn to the Right , Return of the Right , The November 3rd Contract with America, and David Horowitz's own essay, A Historic Election, an Early Thanksgiving.

I've been SO depressed over where this country has been going, WHAT good news for a change.

Election night results so far. In spite of all attempts to destroy the system, elections still work (Thank You Lord)

I've been pulling back from politics for some time but this election couldn't be ignored, thanks to the Tea Party movement, so I've been following it fairly closely. Some great wins for my team, some really good guys getting into the Senate, and governorships and the House. And Nancy Pelosi is out because the Republicans won so many seats in the House. All to be happy for. Bad news of course is that Sharron Angle wasn't able to oust Harry Reid -- and that there is a strong likelihood of fraud in that contest too. That's maybe the worst part, the suspicion of fraud. And California got Jerry Brown back, that's really sad. But overall a loud objection to Obama's policies has been heard across the country.

I heard two conservatives give reasons why they decided not to vote, and I can only hope they don't represent greater numbers. One, on a political call-in, said it was because the REAL issues aren't being raised in this election, by which he meant internet neutrality, which to his mind trumps all the other issues. I have to admit to being completely boggled by that reason. The other was because he believes the whole thing is rigged so what's the point. Well, clearly the WHOLE thing isn't rigged, though some important races may unfortunately have been tampered with, and I hope that all comes to light very soon. It's illegal of course so if it does come to light then it ought to be prosecuted.

There are sometimes good reasons not to vote in a particular election but neither of these reasons is a good reason. In this election I didn't have a good reason not to vote, and many good reasons TO vote. I won't vote sometimes when I can't in good conscience support any of the candidates. I can't vote for someone who is for abortion for instance. But a violation of conscience is to my mind the only legitimate reason not to vote. Thinking your vote might not count because of fraud is discouraging of course, but it's hard to see how someone believes that every election across the country is rigged. There's still a good chance your vote WILL be counted.

Overall I think God is having mercy on us so far.

Listening to the comments that came into the talk programs from time to time I'd hear Democrats registering their disgust with the way the election was going. What stands out in their comments is their demonizing of their opponents, their attitude of sheer disdain and self-righteous moral indignation. Conservatives are evil people, according to them, there's not even a pretense of an attitude of graciousness toward the opponent, as in "may the best man win." Such civilities apparently no longer influence some on the Left. I was glad to see some Democrat candidates graciously conceding the election to their opponents in speeches at least. That was hopeful.

But that anyone could express such disdain for the other half of the country is still a very discouraging sign. The arrogance is breathtaking for one thing. It's not possible in their minds that the other side has even a shred of a legitimate concern. Terms they used were "selfish," "don't care about people" and so on.

===================================
Nov 4 got an email from a conservative political website I frequent:
Our country just took a step back from the brink.
That says it! A step back from the brink, yes. And what a relief! (Wonder how long it will last).
Exercising the common sense that has always been at the heart of our national character, Americans used the ballot to repudiate Barack Obama's efforts over the past two years to radically transform our society.
I had just about lost all hope that it was possible 1) for the American people to rise to the occasion, and 2) if they did, for the ballot boxes to be honest enough to register it.

(Whew! The system actually works? -- I'm afraid to say it above a whisper)

Got to be answer to all those prayers we've been sending up.

Now if only we could succeed at showing so many who have been duped by the Left what's wrong with that way of thinking.

Islamization of Paris -- the US to follow shortly

How can this be happening?

.

It's a policy of Islam of course, to take over the world by moving into countries one by one and gradually overwhelming them with greater population. Leftist policies, otherwise known as Political Correctness, have facilitated their aims over the last few decades, accelerating madly in just a few years it seems.

In this video we see some French protests against Islam finally, but is this going to have much effect in the end?

Not if Islamization is part of God's judgment on the West, as I believe it is.

We've lost our Christian character, so a satanic religion is going to move in and take over. Europe lost their Christian roots well before the US did, so judgment started there sooner and will catch up here later, although clearly it has already started here as well.

Since I've been doing some studies on the End Times recently, it just naturally popped into my mind that Islam is like the Abomination of Desolation standing in the holy place as it moves in where Christianity used to thrive but has been falling away.

We need a Christian take on this. Our God is the true God and Allah is a satanic invention who enslaves all who come under his spell. The Muslims need the true God but so does the dying West. So we should regard the Muslims as a mission field, but even before that we need to recognize that Europe as a whole is the mission field. Where are the missionaries equipped to go to them? Lord, send workers into the harvest.

Again I come back to the need for revival, the recovery of Christian spiritual power. I don't see it happening. And I keep discovering that I don't have the energy to pursue it myself either. How sad.

Judge acts tail wagging the nation -- knocking us all silly

And another post along the same lines as the previous post, Judge likely to deny gov't on gay troops order
.
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A federal judge is expected to rule Tuesday on a government request to delay her order halting the military from enforcing its ban on openly gay troops — a request she has said she'll probably deny.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips said Monday she would review the arguments from Justice Department lawyers.

"My tentative ruling is to deny the application for a stay," Phillips said at the start of Monday's hearing.

Phillips said the government has not proven that her order would harm troops or in any way impede efforts to implement new regulations for the military to deal with openly gay service members.
ONE JUDGE, ONE JUDGE, thinks she has the right to MAKE POLICY for the entire nation.

If we needed any more proof that our justice system is out of control, making law instead of interpreting law, putting itself above the other branches of government and the people of the United States, this is it. LETTING ONE JUDGE, ONE SINGLE JUDGE, NOT EVEN A WHOLE COURT OF JUDGES, have such power, is nuts beyond description.

The arrogance and self-righteousness in her attitude is absolutely breathtaking, but the fact that this is being treated as legal business as usual is even more staggering.

How right Thomas Jefferson was to warn about an unrestrained judiciary. How stupid we all are these days that such a thing can be done without objections being screamed from the four corners of the nation.

The most productively destructive Congress in history

I just saw this headline at Yahoo and was so annoyed I had to do a post on it: A productive Congress gets no respect from voters.
Not since the explosive years of the civil rights movement and the hard-fought debut of government-supported health care for the elderly and poor have so many big things — love them or hate them — been done so quickly.

The article goes on . . . "successes" . . . "accomplishments."

They've GOT to be kidding. But I know they aren't. Right, ramming through their destructive legislation against the will of a majority of the people is styled as "productive." Success, accomplishment. Right, productive of evil, successful at flirting with national bankruptcy, accomplished at destroying the middle class, productive of government oppression of the people. This is no longer government of, by and for the people, it's government for government, the government of a tyrant, a despot, just what our Constitution was intended to prevent and the founders warned against.

Another example of how words don't mean anything any more, or they mean whatever the disgustingly corrupted politicized media want them to mean. "Productive" is now the euphemism for "destructive." This has been absolutely the most destructive Congress in history. It's practically brought down the nation in two short years by supporting this destructive President's destructive policies.

I HOPE we vote them out, and it's looking hopeful, but I don't know if God is going to be that good to us in these days of judgment.

Chuck Missler gives evidence for New World Order Conspiracy

Major undermining of American Sovereignty going on for decades already. The Marxist / Communist influence is just one element. The Aquarian Conspiracy outlines another. But it's bigger than even those. Well, let Missler document it:

America: another worldly prop pulled out from under us

I wrote about Glenn Beck and his Restoring Honor rally at Faith's Corner earlier today but I want to say a few words about it here too.

As a political conservative I enjoy Glenn Beck and wish I could support him. For the most part I have supported him, at least tacitly, because I like his general take on our political mess. But as today's rally approached I found myself feeling less than enthused. I watched some of it, a couple hours worth I think, and kept having this unhappy feeling about it, slight but definitely there. I WANT to support this. There are some genuine Christians there after all. I love Alveda King for instance. I love David Barton for instance (I missed his talk though, also missed Sarah Palin's).

So I had to come to terms with my own oddly conflicted feelings. I had to think hard about it. He's a Mormon. Does that REALLY matter when he's doing such a good job, a job nobody else is doing, of defending the political causes that matter to me, to the Right? Clearly some Christians say it doesn't matter. Some are up on that stage, many are no doubt among the throng below.

Do they know what Mormons believe? I wonder. But I have to admit that it doesn't matter whether they know or not, some of us DO know and Christians absolutely cannot align ourselves with them. The more I thought about it the more clearly I saw that there's no way a Christian can join with Beck in his religious assertions. Politics, patriotism, OK up to a point, but the Restoring Honor rally was full of God talk, pretty generic nondenominational type God talk, but still I KNOW what Mormons believe, I know they don't mean what I mean with that God talk. I CAN'T join with Mormons on the subject of God. Absolutely cannot.

It's hard for us who have been so strongly supporting the conservative cause, and really do want God back in American life - but we do NOT want the Mormon God and that's what Beck represents.

Another worldly hope, another idolatry for us to let go of, I believe that's what this is. It's a hard one to give up, very hard, but after thinking about it all day I've managed to separate myself from it bit by bit. God wants all of us, not part of us, He doesn't want to share us even with America and He's making that harder and harder for us these days. That's what I think now. The Left wants us marginalized and they're doing a great job of it too. Islam is on the ascendancy. It shouldn't be too long before Christians have just about no moorings left in this world.

That's when our faith is going to be tested for sure.

Confusion continues surrounding Obama's birth and his religion

Obama himself says he's a Kenyan, not an American:

Listen to him at the beginning of this video saying flatly, unequivocally, that he is NOT an American, that he was NOT born in Hawaii, that he was born in Kenya.

[Note: It was convincingly pointed out to me by a commenter here that this part of the video was altered to make it look like Obama was saying something he was not in fact saying. The producer even identifies himself as "obamasnippets" and that's apparently a site that manufactures this sort of thing. I'm not sure about the rest of the information.]

Did he not know that the Constitution requires him to be a natural born citizen of two American citizen parents when he said that? Who is this man in the American Presidency anyway?

The evidence continues to build with quotes from Kenyans who believe he was born there.

But then there are the birth announcements in the Hawaii newspapers on the day of his birth. When I saw these recently, I thought this should end the controversy as it should prove he's a natural born citizen. (But why does Obama himself want to deny this and claim to be a Kenyan?)

But it's not that simple. If you watch the linked video all the way through you'll see that to qualify for the Presidency both his parents would have to be citizens, and not only was his father not a citizen, but after his mother divorced him and remarried and they moved to Indonesia with his stepfather, they became citizens of Indonesia which is enough to disqualify him.

If these things are true it appears he is multiply disqualified to be President of the United States.

Here's another video in which Alan Keyes raises many questions about Obama including his qualifications for the Presidency. From about 1:18 on Keyes describes Obama as a usurper and a destroyer of the nation.

Even with such blatantly reasonable questions to be addressed, there are many who want to bury the truth, who try to smear those who still have doubts, calling them "birthers" as if there's something wrong with their perfectly reasonable questions.

The same video I posted at the top also gives weight to doubts about Obama's religion, although just this morning there is an article up on Yahoo treating such doubts as unfounded and the doubters as unreasonable:
Americans increasingly are convinced — incorrectly — that President Barack Obama is a Muslim, and a growing number are thoroughly confused about his religion.

Nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think Obama is Muslim, up from the 11 percent who said so in March 2009, according to a poll released Thursday. The proportion who correctly say he is a Christian is down to just 34 percent.

...Six in 10 of those saying Obama is a Muslim said they got the information from the media, with the largest portion — 16 percent — saying it was on television. Eleven percent said they learned it from Obama's behavior and words.
Yes, Obama's own behavior and words are really what raise the doubts. On the video above he is shown referring to the Koran as "the Holy Koran" and to Islam as "revealed," which is not the way a Christian would normally speak of the religion, even when speaking respectfully. A Christian regards Islam as a false religion. Obama may be nominally a Christian by his outward practices, but his respect for Islam appears to be above and beyond what a Christian would express, and it's unjust of the media to call questions based on all this flatly wrong.

Keyes is right, Obama is out to destroy the nation and he may succeed with the help of subversives like himself.

As usual, however, I have to point out that God is in charge. This state of affairs could not be happening independent of God, and what could explain this? Why is Islam gaining in popularity in general? Why is the economy on the verge of collapse? Etc. etc. etc. Our enemies are in our midst and gaining on us, our "bread basket," to use a term from the King James Bible, may soon fail. These are among the consequences of disobedience spelled out for the Israelites in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, which we should heed.

Can any of this be reversed at this point? I wish we could see a great groundswell of Christian zeal for repentance and prayer which alone might turn the tide, but although of course we pray for the nation there really isn't the necessary degree of passionate dedication to be found among us anywhere that I can see.

No, I think America is going down. Christians are being marginalized, isolated, and what's left to us is to work to be strong AGAINST the tide, as the body of Christ completely separate from America and the world.

Lamentations

1 How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

2 She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.

3 Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

4 The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

5 Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.

6 And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

7 Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.

8 Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.

9 Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.

10 The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

11 All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.

12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

13 From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.

15 The Lord hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the Lord hath trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.

17 Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.

18 The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

19 I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.

20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.

21 They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

22 Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
