I get emails from various sources about the threat of Islam, such as a speech by Geert Wilders on how Europe has been changing with its growing Islamic population, which is at odds with a free and democratic society.
I have one thing to say. THIS IS YOUR FAULT, EUROPE. YOU ABANDONED YOUR CHRISTIAN ROOTS AND EVEN NOW THIS SPEECH SAYS NOTHING ABOUT THOSE ROOTS. YOU THINK FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY JUST MAINTAINS ITSELF? No, there is a God, the God Europe grew up on, the God of the Christian religion that was the real reason for western civilization, in Europe and America and wherever else the influence has extended.
Abandon that, allow sin to flourish in your nation -- hey HOLLAND, heads up here!!! -- and you get GOD'S JUDGMENT.
THAT'S WHAT THIS GROWTH OF ISLAM IS -- GOD'S JUDGMENT ON A GODLESS WORLD. Poor Geert Wilders and others like him haven't a clue. BUT CHRISTIANS OUGHT TO AND WE DON'T EITHER!
POLITICS ALONE IS UTTERLY USELESS! THIS IS A SPIRITUAL BATTLE!
WAKE UP CHURCH!
Judgment begins at the house of God, with our tepid worldly "Christianity" which has no ability to fight the spiritual battle this is all about, with our brief and perfuntory prayers, our failure to fast for God's purposes, our horrific record of all the worldly sins such as divorce, which God condemns, and worse than that toppling evangelical "leaders."
The remedy, unless it's too late, is REPENT, REPENT, REPENT!! RETURN TO CHRIST, PRAY OUR HEARTS OUT WITHOUT CEASING THAT GOD WOULD RESTRAIN HIS HAND AGAINST BOTH EUROPE AND AMERICA, PRAY FOR THE CHURCHES, THAT GOD WOULD STRENGTHEN US, INSPIRE US TO GREATER SELF-SACRIFICE FOR HIS CAUSE..
DROP ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE PURSUIT OF GOD'S WILL AND MERCY.
Yeah, it's eventually going to be Sharia law, covered-up women (if we'd been dressing modestly ourselves in a reasonable way this wouldn't happen either), dhimmitude, suicide bombings and beheadings if things continue as they are IN THE CHURCHES.

September 25 Day of Islam in Washington ought to set a fire under American churches. Will it?
50,000 Muslims are projected to be part of a day of Islamic prayer and Islamic Unity in Washington on Capitol Hill on Friday September 25th. That's a week from this Friday.
The message at the bottom of their website says "Our time has come," and who can disagree with them? They attacked us on 9/11 but in spite of that everything has gone their way since then and now they are declaring themselves a religious power at the center of American government.
This is just another stage of God's judgment against America and against American churches. Will we wake up or not?
Will we get on our knees for hours on end and pray down this aggressive move by the devil himself? Confess the sins of America, confess personal sin, pray for revival and pray from now until September 26th that God would intervene to prevent this outrage against Him from occurring in the seat of American government and increasing His wrath against the nation. Also pray for Muslims to turn to Christ, and for other Christians to become involved in praying down this outrage, and for strength for each to continue.
It could be done if we would do it.

WHAT THIS BLOG IS ABOUT
The dire situation of America came up again at Faith's Corner, just the day after America's birthday, and this time I thought I'd see what I can put together in a separate blog about whether there's any hope for the nation.
I don't know where my own hope came from but even to be thinking in this direction implies some hope. I'd pretty much given up, you see. I gave up on politics some time ago, but then I also gave up on the churches, and it's the churches that have the ultimate responsibility for what happens in the nation. Of course most Christians pray for the nation, but the church is in a bad way too, needing God's correction before there's much hope the nation can be corrected.
There are some prophetic voices out there trying to call the church back, trying to call the nation back, but there are also lots of false prophets making it difficult to hear the true. There are also lots of Christians who think they and their churches are immune to such problems, and while they lament the moral and spiritual degeneration of America they don't see themselves as having any power to do anything about it, or any responsibility for the situation in the first place.
The late Leonard Ravenhill was one of the strongest prophetic voices who spoke directly to America's moral decline and the church's role in it as well as the hope the church would wake up and experience true revival, which is really the only hope for the nation, and I want to start out this blog with his deeply concerned messages.
